The Southern Hills Community Association is a Registered Neighborhood Organization for the area commonly known as Southern Hills, located in the Wellshire neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, 80210.
The Southern Hills Community Association is a group that fosters community through social activities and communications that bring neighbors together. The SHCA is not a Homeowners Association and does not enforce rules. Membership is voluntary.
Currently, the SHCA hosts an annual Easter Egg Hunt and 4th of July Bike Parade. The association also provides support to Slavens School and facilitates communication between the membership and the city.
In the past, the Association has organized other events like a community garage sale and Fall Festival. It has also sponsored group activities like a Garden Club and a holiday decorating contest. Learn more about the history of the neighborhood.

Technically speaking, the Southern Hills Community Association (SHCA) is a Colorado corporation with bylaws that govern its voluntary membership and operations. The SHCA is also the Denver Registered Neighborhood (RNO) Association for its geographic area.

In order to be an active Member of the Southern Hills Community Association, one must:
Own property in within the boundaries of the SHCA. View the neighborhood maps.
Pay dues, per property, annually, before the Annual Meeting in October (or another date set by the Board).
Only official Members of the Southern Hills Community Association may vote on Association board members and certain Association expenditures, among other limited privileges. Please see the bylaws for additional information.
Despite the narrow definition of "Membership" outlined above, the Southern Hills Community Association’s events are open to all and we welcome contributions from everyone! If you value our programming, like the Easter Egg Hunt or the 4th of July Bike Parade, please consider contributing to the Association.
The area served by the SHCA is divided into six filings: Filings 2-6 and Filing X. In the 1950s, "Protective Covenants" related to these filings were recorded. These covenants are provided below for reference only.
